The Independent Investigative Panel on allegations of Human Rights Violations by the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and other units of the Nigerian Police on Monday warned that it might issue a warrant of arrest on Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Danjuma Ochejeh of Delta state Police Command over allegations of human rights violations by the Police against Ochekpe Community of Anambra state and three other complainants.

The Executive Secretary National Human Rights Commission Tony Ojukwu Esq has lamented the deteriorating and alarming state of insecurity in the country and calls on the government to take necessary actions to curtail the continuous abduction of students from schools.

A petitioner, Mr. Mamman Danladi, who is also a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, is demanding compensation the Nigerian Police Force for allegedly torturing his nephew to death.

A petitioner,Mr. Julius Ogalanya, at the Independent Investigative panel on Human Rights violations by the Defunct SARS and other units of police Monday, told the panel how his thighs were shattered by gunshots by one Gabriel Adi of the Nigeria Police.
