The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is pleased to release the December 2024 Human Rights Situation Dashboard. This dashboard provides a monthly analysis of reported human rights violations across Nigeria, highlighting key trends and insights from complaints received at the Commission, as well as human rights violations monitored through the NHRC Human Rights Observatory.
Issues in focus for December include violations of freedom from discrimination, sexual and gender based violence, banditry and abductions, deaths for palliatives, extra-judicial killings and deaths by accidents reflecting the on-going challenges faced by citizens. The Commission remains committed to addressing these issues and safeguarding human rights across Nigeria.
The NHRC remains steadfast in its mandate to promote and protect human rights across Nigeria. We encourage all stakeholders to review the data, engage in dialogue, and collaborate toward a better Nigeria.
