The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has called for a shift from military-centric responses to a holistic, justice-driven model to tackle insecurity and economic instability in Africa.

The Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Chief Tony Ojukwu, OFR, SAN, has condemned the death of about 37 persons suspected to be artisanal miners while in custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Minna, Niger State.
